DEVENS — Despite the economic downturns nationwide, employment at Devens grew 13 percent since the end of 2010, according to a newly released report.
On Friday, MassDevelopment unveiled an annual report prepared by the UMass Donahue Institute on Devens economic contribution to the region. The snapshot of Devens as of March 31 shows that the total number of employers, excluding military branches, has declined to 87 from 95 since 2010. The existing businesses, however, hired more people, and there are 426 more people working in Devens compared to 2010, said MassDevelopment President and CEO Marty Jones. The job number does not include military positions.
