On Saturday, November 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Shirley Council on Aging will be holding a medical fair to provide everyone with the necessary information to make informed medical decisions now and in the future.
Also, it’s “Medicare Open Enrollment” time; so, SHINE counselors will be available to help you understand all the new options available next year. This is especially important if you have Reliant Physicians or Fallon Health plans.
Over 30 vendors will take part in the event. Speaker session topics include Medicare, safe driving, diabetes management, caregiver support services and “elder care” options such as In-home care, adult day care and assisted living. The local LIONS organization will be bringing their famous “EyeMobile service.
The event will be held at the Ayer-Shirley Middle school on Hospital Road in Shirley.
The Fair is open to all, including seniors from Ayer, Ashby, Devens, Harvard, Lancaster, Lunenburg, Townsend, Pepperell and Groton. A free continental breakfast will be provided to all attendees.
This is a “No Cost Event”, so please attend.
