Free Recycling Day for Devens Residents


The Devens Recycling Center is holding a free recycling day for Devens residents on Saturday, June 7,  2014 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Residents can bring recyclable materials to 45 Independence Drive, Devens, MA 01434.

The following items will be accepted:

  • Air conditioners
  • Car batteries
  • Computer monitors
  • Propane tanks
  • Refrigerators/freezers
  • Televisions
  • Kitchen appliances
  • Stoves/washing machines/dryers
  • Hard rigid plastics (playschool toys, trash cans)
  • Car tires (4 tires max.)
  • Wood
  • Concrete/brick/tile
  • Metal
  • Lawn equipment (mowers, snow blowers)

All materials must be free of asbestos and other hazardous materials.

No paints, liquids and/or solvents.

All appliances and equipment must be previously drained of any oil, gasoline and/or freon.

No items containing mercury such as light ballasts or thermostats.

Please note: Acceptable items do not include items that are typically put out with residential curbside recycling (bottles, cans, cardboard, paper etc.)

One (1) carload per household.

Devens residents must provide proof of residency (drivers’ license, utility bill etc.)
