The North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. (NCMDC) said it received a $10,000 grant to conduct outreach and programs to entice young people into advanced manufacturing careers.
MassDevelopment issued the grant through a program called AMP it up.
The NCMDC received the money in partnership with Mount Wachusett Community College. The two organizations will design presentations on the use of technology in manufacturing for middle and high school students in North Central Massachusetts. Other programs will include summer tours of manufacturing facilities tied to an existing summer program focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
