Devens had nearly 400 more people working in the community in 2014 than in 2013.  If you think the 11 percent job growth was a lucky surge from the national economy bouncing back, think again.

Bristol-Myers Scribb has begun its campus expansion project, preparing to add up to 380 new jobs at its Jackson Road location next year, according to Peter Lowitt, director of Devens Enterprise Commission (DEC). Health Partners New England of Winchester and GFI Partners have announced they began building Health Partners Treatment and Recovery Center, a 104-bed hospital for psychiatric and substance abuse problems, on Patton Road.

Devens is also becoming home to more residents. The community had 140 units of housing in early 2013. Now, Concord-based Devens Village Green LLC is ready to construct a 124-unit development on Grant Road in multiple phases.
