DEVENS — Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is finding itself 250 turkeys short for Thanksgiving after its allocation of turkeys from the Greater Boston Food Bank was cut in half. As a result, the pantry, which serves Ayer, Devens, Groton, Harvard, Littleton and Shirley, is making a last-minute call for turkey donations this weekend.

Frozen turkeys 14 lbs. or larger will be collected Saturday and Sunday between 1 and 3 p.m. at the pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens. Also on the most-needed item list: stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey or chicken broth, frozen fruit pies, canned yams, coffee, tea, cocoa, olives, pickles, juice.
