Loyalty Day, originally known as “Americanization Day” enacted into public law by Congress in 1958. Loyalty Day is a day established to counteract the May 1 celebrations of the Communist party in the United States and honor all merit that encompasses this free Nation. Today the holiday continues to reaffirm the American principles of freedom and democracy.
