On Saturday, the fifth Devens Ice Cube Open Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament will be at the Devens Disc Golf Course. The proceeds will benefit Loaves & Fishes, the Devens-based food pantry.
All are welcome, regardless of ability, according to a release by the Devens Disc Golf Club.

DEVENS — The Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry will hold its 30th annual Good Friday Walk from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, beginning at the Harvard Congregational Church on Route 110 at Harvard Common. The walk follows a scenic 5-mile loop; walkers can register at any time and walk as far as they like. The walk also supports Sharing, Inc., which helps impoverished youth in the rural South.
Sponsor sheets are available at local churches and libraries and can be downloaded at at loavesfishespantry.org. Each walker is asked to raise a minimum of $25 to participate. Contributions and sponsor sheets must be submitted at the registration desk on the day of the walk; walkers will receive a number and a map.
No one under the age of 18 can walk without a parent’s or guardian’s signature; walkers under age12 must have adult supervision. No bicycles, roller blades, scooters or skateboards are allowed. For information or to volunteer, contact Jeanie Colony at 978-456-1239, or Becca Day-Newsham 978-456-8717.

DEVENS — Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry is planning for its Thanksgiving Dinner Distribution event on Monday, Nov. 25. This annual event provides needy families all the fixings for their Thanksgiving celebrations — stuffing, gravy, pie, cranberry sauce, juice, fresh vegetables and even a turkey or chicken.
This year, Loaves & Fishes allotment of frozen turkeys from the Greater Boston Food Bank is significantly less than it received last year. Donations of frozen turkeys will be accepted from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 24, at 234 Barnum Road, Devens.
